The new year is right around the corner, and I am looking forward to spending time with friends, family, and colleagues in Palm Springs, Oregon, France, San Francisco, and New England. My kids are finally vaccinated, so despite some fear and uncertainty about Omicron and other new variants, I’m letting myself look ahead with hope and optimism.
What are you looking forward to in 2022?
2022 is also the year I will be writing my next book! If you are a professional who feels held back by self-doubt, fear, and imposter syndrome OR you are on a hamster wheel of constant achievement and feeling burned out, this one is for you. You will learn psychological flexibility skills to live full-size, not fun size (you know, like the candy bars?). It won’t be published until Sept 2023, but I will be sharing bits and pieces of content along the way so stay tuned (and see below for the first bit and piece)!
What are your goals for 2022?
Let me PAVE the way:
P: Pause (slow down and take a mindful breath)
A: Accept (make space for uncomfortable feelings)
V: Values (identify the Me you want to be in this moMEnt)
E: Execute (move your hands, feet, or mouth—the only things you get to control—in the direction of your values)
Clinician's Corner
