Remember trick-or-treating as a kid when your one neighbor would give out full size candy bars instead of the fun-size ones? Epic. That has become my life’s motto: Live full size, not fun size. Do you have a motto? How about a mission? My mission is to share evidence-based tools from psychology (mostly from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help people live their best lives. Having a motto and mission helps me be clear about my values. Whenever I have a decision to make, I consider whether it is in line with my motto and mission.
If you want to live more closely aligned with your values, consider cultivating your own motto and mission as a helpful guide.
I have an exciting announcement! My feel-goodie of the month is a photo of my husband and me with his loving Gram—a family member he found after not knowing her for over 40 years! |
